At Good Shepherd Compassion Ministries, evangelism is not simply a program—it is the very heartbeat of our mission. Pastor Sudarsanam Samuel Chatla, our founder and president, carries a God-given passion to bring the gift of Jesus Christ to the lost and hurting, especially among the unreached tribal communities of India.
“Our mission is to train, network, and support leaders and mission teams who would launch disciple-making movements among the Telugu tribal and Orissa State people through humanitarian aids.”
“For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.” – Romans 1:16
This same conviction drives Pastor Samuel every day. He lives to proclaim Christ where He has never been named, and to see souls transformed by the power of the Gospel.
“My ambition has always been to preach the Good News where the name of Christ has never been heard, rather than where a church has already been started by someone else.” – Romans 15:20
For Pastor Samuel, evangelism is not an option—it is life itself. As he often shares: “To live is Christ, and to die is gain.” – Philippians 1:21
At the age of nineteen, God called Pastor Samuel with a unique mandate: to take the Gospel into the remote tribal villages where Christ was not known. Since 2008, that call has grown into a powerful movement.
Together with a dedicated team of 250 pastors and 60 evangelists, Good Shepherd Compassion Ministries is serving among the most marginalized communities in rural and jungle regions of India.
These villages are often isolated, untouched by modern civilization, and unreached by the Gospel. Yet Christ’s love compels us to go. Along with spiritual ministry, we also meet urgent physical needs by providing drinking water, food, clothing, medicines, and humanitarian aid.
We carry the Jesus Film Project into these areas, bringing the story of Christ to people who have never heard His name. And by God’s grace, souls are coming to Him in large numbers.
Our vision is not only to preach but also to establish churches that will stand as beacons of hope in these tribal regions. We are committed to supporting and equipping tribal pastors who can shepherd their own communities for generations to come.
A single church building in these regions costs approximately $8,000 USD. Each church becomes more than a place of worship—it becomes a lighthouse for the Gospel, a center of transformation, and a witness of God’s Kingdom on earth.
We prayerfully seek partners who will help make this vision a reality.
Our vision is to fulfill the Great Commission by making disciples who make disciples and by launching redemptive communities and mission teams among the unreached tribes of Telugu-speaking regions and the state of Orissa. At the heart of our mission is evangelism and church planting—bringing the light of Christ where His name has never been heard.
