At Good Shepherd Compassion Ministries, our mission is not only to proclaim the Gospel but also to demonstrate the love of Christ through tangible care for the most vulnerable. In rural and tribal regions of India, countless people struggle with poverty, sickness, natural disasters, and social rejection. By God’s grace, we are reaching out with practical help—bringing hope, dignity, and healing in Jesus’ name.
In many tribal villages, clean drinking water is a luxury. Families often draw water from polluted ponds and shallow wells where cattle and buffalo bathe, leading to outbreaks of waterborne diseases. Contaminated water has caused widespread sickness, birth defects, and even lifelong disabilities such as polio and cleft palate in children. When our team first visited these communities, we saw the depth of suffering caused by the lack of safe water. By God’s provision, we began drilling hand-pump water wells, and entire villages have since been transformed—both physically and spiritually. Clean water brings health, dignity, and often opens the door for villagers to embrace the Gospel.

A single well sustains a village for generations.
Yet, many more villages still cry out for this basic necessity. We are praying for open doors to expand this ministry into deep forest regions where people are still desperate for clean water.
Scripture calls us to care for widows and orphans (James 1:27). In India, many widows and elderly parents are abandoned due to poverty and lack of permanent property. Sons often take over the family homes, leaving their mothers destitute. Many widows are forced to sleep in bus stations, under bridges, or in public shelters. In response, our ministry supports over 60 widows and elderly believers, offering food, clothing, and fellowship. These women are not forgotten in God’s eyes, and we consider it our sacred duty to stand beside them in their time of need.
Every year, India’s coastal regions face devastating cyclones. Torrential rains flood homes, sweep away cattle, and destroy livelihoods. Recently, in Vijayawada, families lost both their belongings and livestock in a severe cyclone, leaving them hungry and homeless. We step in during these emergencies to provide food, clothing, and encouragement to rebuild their lives.
In rural villages, houses are often built with thatched palm leaves. Cooking with firewood, combined with electrical sparks, can quickly ignite a disaster. In mere minutes, families lose everything they own. Good Shepherd Compassion Ministries rushes to their aid with cooking vessels, rice, clothing, and shelter support. We have even helped pastors rebuild churches that were reduced to ashes.
Polluted water, malnutrition, and poor healthcare often result in children being born with disabilities. We encounter children suffering from polio, cleft palate, and other birth defects. In compassion, we provide:
Through these efforts, we not only restore physical mobility but also bring joy and hope to families who once felt helpless.
These social ministries—whether providing water, shelter, food, or medical care—are not just humanitarian efforts. They are expressions of Christ’s love that open hearts to the Gospel. Every well drilled, every widow supported, and every child helped is a testimony of God’s compassion reaching into broken lives. We invite you to:
"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Me." (Matthew 25:40)
