( Founder & President )
Bishop Sudarsanam Samuel Chatla has been faithfully serving the Lord for over 25 years, devoting his entire life to the Gospel of Christ and the advancement of the Great Commission. Alongside his devoted wife, Shara Rani, and their three children—Shirley Rachel (18), Silas Gabriel (16), and Sam Alex Tim Gabriel (11)—he has dedicated his family to the service of God and the transformation of lives through the power of the Gospel.
In 2003, Bishop Samuel founded Good Shepherd Compassion Ministries, a non-profit, faith-based, and socially driven organization with the initial mission of caring for orphans and vulnerable children. What began as a compassionate response to the needs of the fatherless has since grown into a broad and far-reaching ministry that now extends across multiple states in India. Today, the work includes preaching the Gospel, planting churches, training leaders, drilling water wells for tribal communities, and offering humanitarian aid to the most marginalized.
Bishop Samuel is deeply committed to winning souls, planting churches where none exist, and extending the Kingdom of God into the most interior tribal regions of Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, and beyond. He carries a compassionate burden for orphans and the perishing, longing to see both spiritual and social transformation take root in India’s most neglected societies.
At the heart of Bishop Sudarsanam Samuel Chatla’s calling is his mission:
“Our mission is to train, network, and support leaders and mission teams who would launch disciple-making movements among the Telugu tribal and Orissa State people through humanitarian aids.”
Through monthly training conferences—both in-person and online via Zoom—he equips pastors, evangelists, and mission leaders with the tools needed to multiply disciples and establish redemptive communities among unreached people groups.
His vision reflects his lifelong passion:
“Our vision is to fulfil the Great Commission by making disciples who make disciples and launching redemptive communities/mission teams to reach the unreached tribes of the Telugu people.”
Bishop Samuel is deeply committed to winning souls, planting churches where none exist, and extending God’s Kingdom into the most remote tribal regions of Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, and beyond. He also carries a compassionate burden for orphans and the perishing, longing to see both spiritual and social transformation take root in India’s most neglected communities.
“To obey the command of Jesus, to win souls, and to give my very best to build His Kingdom until my last breath.”
His life and ministry stand as a testimony of faith, sacrifice, and unwavering
obedience to God’s call.
